I have just taken delivery of my new lights for the race season, they are SO much better than last years, well worth a look if anyone is after some...i got an enduro Maxx, a joystick (camo!) and a tripe cell piggy back battery, hopefully i wont be riding in the dark like at D2D when my others failed last year... http://www.use1.com/exposure/products/enduro_maxx/index.php

I'm so jealous!  I have last years and can't afford to upgrade!

I just got my last years upgraded cos it broke twice!  The new joystick is loads better, smaller and a generally better design.  Just hope it doesn't break...

Trio, do you want a spare charger as the chargers on the new ones are different and I still have my old one?  also have a helmet mount and bar mount.

Mine broke last year too, I got a spare battery and it failed doing d2d, had to ride last few hours with flashing joystick, not fun! I couldn't afford to upgrade either, but have a friend at USE that used to help me when i rode DH years ago and has helped me by donating soem lights this year. Old ones on ebay, hardly used..enduro one sold, joystick finishes this weekend..

You should have kept your Joystick.  You're better off with both handlebar and helmet mounted for D2D to help you see round corners.  How long does your new Joystick last?

You can borrow my Joystick to give you another 2-4 hours this year (last year's model, so let's hope the switch is still working by October!  (They replaced my first Joystick having sent it back twice, even though they didn't admit that anything was wrong with it?!).

 How's the training going?

I have a new joystick as well as new enduro maxx for handlebars, plus triple cell piggy back battery.. selling old joystick.. too many combinations for burn times, you can see them here.. http://www.use1.com/exposure/support/piggy_back_battery_explained.php

Can't wait to commute to work tomorrow night!!

training is going really well thanks, 150mile aweek average at mo'.. not done a lot of off road until bone totally healed in leg, don't want to break it!! how u doing??

I have the new model joystick, I'm not convinced I'm getting anything like the burn times they say, so  contemplating getting the piggy back thing for Mountain Mayhem.

MM its says something about new batteries on the new lights... it says if you have short burn times on a new light then discharge and ercharge light 3 times.... let me know how you get on, see you in 3 days ;0)

That'd be great Claire, especially the helmet mount as then I don't have to take the one off my night helmet for transwales, have it in the perfect position now.

Jumbly you'll be fine at MM with the burn time you have, remember there are four of us so you'll probably only do two night laps, mine lasted fine and I have the old model at SITS.
