Hi there everyone - just found your forum and it looks like just what I need
Just thought i'd introduce myself quickly, although I am not sure I am posting this in the right place!
I started mountainbiking last summer due to a couple of injuries which stopped me doing my other favourite pastimes. Having barely ridden a bike much in my life I started with a baptism of fire at the peak district! Since then have worked hard to try and improve my skills to a respectable level - although I never get out riding enough, normally just once a week if I am lucky.
I now hold my own on group rides with the guys - but, being the type of person I am, am never satisfied with my riding and want to go faster, further and hopefully higher this year.
When I'm out I see some women with so much talent and I know that is where I would eventually like to get to - not just keeping up with the guys - but being better than them
Last week was the real kickstart to my riding year with a short break at C-y-B, a jaunt round the continental trail at Nant-yr-Arain and a couple of laps of 'follow the dog' at Cannock on Monday. Alot of very enjoyable miles
- wish every week was like that!
