(sorry if its been done before ive searched but couldnt find answers i wanted.)

i bought the d'arcs glasses when i first got into mtbing. they have 3 change able lens which i use the clear lens 90% of the time. Great value but ive scratched them up loads now and they are pretty ugly....

What do you wear riding? and what have you tried before? So I can have a good knowledge of what to buy and what to avoid.

womens or unisex?

should i go cheap like the decathalons or posh like oakleys half jackets? ( scared i'll break them though! )

please post your thoughts hear for me

I've just bought some £3.25 Crane glasses from Aldi... come with 3 sets of lens so great value for money.
Trouble is you need to keep an eye out for when Aldi have their specials on....

Oakley Pro-M Frames.  Expensive but look very cool!  I use the Hybrid S lens as they are not as big as the others on the market.  Keep an eye out on eBay or classifieds as the new range of Oakley Radars are popular at the mo.

They are unbreakable unlike some other leading brands...

I use Oakley M frames too, again with the Hybrid S lens. But they are breakable. I feel off/got knocked off my bike by a car and snapped the frame - but oakley replaced them at a ridiculously cheap price (out of warranty) so their customer service is great!

I also use rudy project sports mask - womens specific - a bit more feminine than the oakleys and you can use them day to day.

We may have some Oakley half jackets for sale, i will check when i get home, as i know Mr P, was having a clear out of them

I use Briko sprinters with changeable lenses and like you mostly wear the clear one. They have a gap between the frame and the lense so don't tend to steam up as much as some others. I have quite a small face and they look a bit big but they are comfy. I don't think I'm careful enough to let myself buy expensive ones... I'm not as bad as my hubby though, who is not allowed to buy any goggles worth more than £15 - he keeps losing/breaking them at a phenomenal rate...

We have some Oakley Half Jackets. Black frame with 4 sets of lenses. Black Iridium and High Intensity Yellow XLJ shapes lenses and Clear and G30 standard shaped lenses. There's also an Oakley Vault box to put them all in. The frames are in perfect condition. The lenses do have the odd minor scratch on them, though none of them are noticeable when wearing them.

We would like to get £50 for them

Hi Pootle - That sounds a good deal, please could you hold them for me until after Easter weekend.

I just want to try on a pair first to make sure they suit me. I can let you know for definite Tues after Easter weekend.

As Kate says, Oakley customer service is fantastic.  Expensive lay out in the first place but definitely worth it.  They replaced a very old Mumbo frame of mine with perished ear-socks, with one of the new M frames after I'd got in touch asking about replacement ear-socks.  I did have to pay a little to cover postage and insurance but well worth it.

I'm definately in the market for some new glasses if you have more than one pair going, had a pair of Oakleys many moons ago n they were great.

Now with a new bike, it's time to buy other shiny bits!
