Hello - I am! I am just planning a move back to the UK from the Netherlands and will be in Sheff at the beg of April. I am a mountain biker at heart, but living over here encouraged me to partake in some lycra clad activities which i want to continue when I return! I think I am going to keel over at the Sheffield hills, but send a message if you wanna meet up. Thanks Anna

ok cool, when your back let me know when you want to go out. whats your email address? the hills kill me in the peaks, ive just been out on my road bike in the peaks was a tough ride but i enjoyed it.

 I live just North of Manchester but would travel out to the peaks for a long road ride. What sort of distances do you cover?

on my road bike i do 20 to 40 miles at a time, but on my mountain bike i do about 15 to 20 im not as fit on my mtb and find it harder. i live in sheffield and dont have a car but could get the train out to the peaks.

Treehugger lives in Sheffield and often rides her mtb from her house if you fancy someone to ride mtb with. I'll definetly be up for a road ride sometime, I'd get the train out as well.

Hi Emily, I'd be interested in doing some road miles with you, esp as the nights get longer.. I live near the top end of Millhouses... where r u? You could also try Sheffrec, road club, but actually a friendly one.. yes its true! http://www.sheffrec-cc.org.uk/index.php And Team TNT (Triathlon club) organise road and mtb rides for all abilities, plenty women turn up, and very friendly/enthusiatic lot... u don't have to be a triathlete to turn up and ride... http://www.novicecoaching.com/ Am recovering from pneumonia and feel desperately unfit but hope to be back out riding to some extent by next weekend.. may try an mtb night ride next week if u r interested?  crikey Ruth! Pneumonia - that's a bit drastic! Thought you'd gone quiet. I'm looking forward to some more Wharncliffe rides...getting to grips with my gps now, so should be able to track the routes as I am lead around them!!

Crap chest and pregnant! Great combo for hill climbing! Will be off into the woods again in the morning if you fancy it!? (sorry for talking about the woods when this thread is about road riding!) Think Dave is still injured after a trip to the lakes and Jason running so prob will just be me and Adi.. text me if want to come! prob meeting same as b4, park gates oughtibridge at 09.30???
