I can offer my sevices as a guide if you want me on the Saturday 15th March, probably won't stop over. But as suggested before can do a 25-30 miler starting from Ambleside. Intermediate level not suitable for beginners but anyone who managed the black at Llandegla will be fine I'm sure. What I'll do is put it on as a girls ride for my club so I'd be leading them anyway. Can suggest a shorter route to someone else if someone wanted to try a 15 mile ride.

sounds good Carolyn. Do you have a particular route in mind? If so, which one is it...roughly?
It's that one I sent you thats titled '28 miler' thats was a guess !!
I'd be up for a day ride on the Saturday. Won't stay over though.
I can thoroughly recommend Ambleside Backpackers Hostel which is in the middle of Ambleside for accommodation - £16 per person including DIY brekkie and a place to lock bikes inside. Unless they are chock full, they should be able to arrange the bunk bed dorms for groups. I'm working overseas for the next month. I can't commit, but I've pencilled it in - something to look forward to when I get back. I won't have been on the bike for a while.

Put me down as a possible. I went to the lakes with some of the guys recently and would love to try it again. we stayed at the Backpackers Hostel, great accomodation, comfy beds, lovely people and nice hot showers, what more could you ask for for £16 a night!!
The gorgeous Coach House next door for £400 a week was more to my liking than the Backpackers !! I'll be B&B if I stop over just pencilled in up for the Saturday day ride at the moment.

I would like to join you but it depends on your times. What is the likely time of start and roughly how long would you envisage beiing out?
Don't know who is in charge if anyone. However if I'm ride leader on Saturday I would suggest 9.30am meet to leave at 10am and the 30 mile ride usually finishes for 4pm at the very latest. That is very much dependant upon the speed and ability of the group, I don't know really who is riding and their ability so can't say. But if they are not quiclk enough to finish before some can be directed on a shorter route back.

reckon Sunday will be a shorter one ......(I'm sure that there'll be options for those not fancying a 30 miler though......).
Hey Carolyn, you didn't send me that "28 miler" route. Btw, tried to squeeze in my shopping today, but didn't fully acheive, so won't make Riv tomorrow.
I'll send you the 28 miler one I thought I had. I have also sent you some club stuff as Vic forwarded me your enquiry. Rivi will be ther another time!I thought we maybe cancelling but fortunately all the snow and ice has gone. We are doing a girls ride up near you next Saturday which I've sent you details of, near Malham. I've not put it on here as it's a club ride.

oh thanks Carolyn. I'm off snowboarding next week, so can't make it afraid. Enjoy....
I'm back from snowboarding. Better at mtbing though... We all still on for Lakes ? Prob need to book some beds at the backpackers or whatever......
It's booked in my diary. But probably not stopping over and if I do it'll be B&B.
