Me and t'other half are planning on the Easter Fri and Sunday at CYB, with poss Monday over at Betwys y Coed.  Anyone else heading that way or fancy joining us?
Show/hide user stats
Will mention it to my other half as it is a fave of ours!

I've never been actually, so quite intrigued.

We have a long weekend over that way each year, going at the end of April this year so it will be a good opportunity to practice.  I have only done CYB so would be keen to do that again.  Him indoors says he'd prob be up for it too so I shall pencil it in

goody!  I'm on a course at Llandegla on the Sat though, but can work round that.

No probs, as of yet no plans for that weekend.  May be up for another visit or two to Llandegla in the meantime

where you from again?
Show/hide user stats

I'm in Birmingham, there's nothing that interesting locally other than parks or canals or road so happy to travel

hey, an you recommend any  B+B's nearby?
Show/hide user stats
Not really as we stay in Beddgelert so we have easy access to Snowdon.  We just drive over to the trails from there

Just reviving this one, as there sounds like there may be a few about in North Wales over Easter.....CYB and Penmacho..........?
Show/hide user stats
Do you know yet where you will be and on which days?
Show/hide user stats

Betwys y Coed on Friday, (Llandegla on Sat), Coed y Brenin on Sun/Monday.  Flexible on the Monday though.........   What do ya reckon?

Show/hide user stats

Will see what the other half wants to do, I'm flexible for any day.  If he's not up for it then I'll prob go for the Fri or Sat as a preference

camp sites...are you mad? I'l be B+Bing.......  but yeah, good point.

I won't need accom - will just drive over hence it will only be the one day that I/we join you for.  Have a week booked in N Wales at the end of April for walking and cycling purposes so this will just be a bit of a warm up for me!

Hi Mrs D and others,

Starting to look at Easter and would be up for CYB (been there once only and a long time ago, so I've got to put that right) and never been to Penmachno.

YHA seem fully booked in the area unsurprisingly. I have stayed at Gwynant B&B in the past (right next to the Cotswold Rockbottom shop - dangerous!), not fancy but perfectly acceptable, and cheaper, but no idea of availability. Can check once I have an idea of how many of us - looks like just the 2 of us needing accomm?

Camping the absolute fall-back, desperate option...  Long-term weather forecast looks cold and snowy - why is Easter so early this year?!
