Hi Folks We have been increasing the number of women's specific products that we stock at CRC and we would like a bit of help and feedback on how we present ladies/women's products on the CRC website. We have spoken to our female cycling staff and other riders and the opinions are mixed on the various points below. 1. should we use Ladies or Women's when describing products or categories? - Does one or the other cause offence/work better 2. Do you find women's specific products easy to find on the site. 3. What brands/types of products are we missing out on. 4. Should we have a dedicated section with only women's products or do you prefer to browse the site looking at the guys stuff as well. Any other pointers or requests will be apreciated. You can post here or Email Michael@ChainReactionCycles.com www.ChainReactionCycles.com

Hello Michael, Oh no more temptation. 1. Womens sounds o.k. 2.Yep. 3.Body armour. I only wear elbow guards. But small sizes are really hard to find. 4.I would prefer just a Womens section. We know where to find the mens gear.

Had to post on here, for some reason I couldn't get onto your site!

I agree completely with Mrs NBT. I am not as slim as her at all, but larger women (me) are not the same shape as men, so I always buy women specific kit. Apart from 3. Women specific bib shorts/bib tights. Only a few people make them, even fewer stock them!

Agree with all of Mrs NBT's comments. I think 'Ladieeees' is a bit old fashioned, not offensive though. I automatically search under 'women' on any site which I have done on CRC previously and it came back with nothing until I put 'Ladies' in.

If you use "Ladies" surely the blokes stuff should be under "Gentlemen". I think Women's is much better general term. I am always a woman but I might not always be a Lady...!

I don't really care between ladies and women's but if you are going to put everything together, then it is useful to keep it consistent, so that for example you can open the page of all jerseys and search for Ladies or Womens within it. For clothes such as tops and bottoms I definitely prefer to have a women's section though, as I always buy women's stuff. For things such as socks, shoes, saddles, hydration packs, gloves, I'd probably prefer it was all together as I'll often buy mens (maybe not so mcuh with saddles actually)

Thanks for asking. 1 - womens is probably more suitable as a title, having said that I'm not fussed 2 - Yes they were easy to find, where you have them - but then we know what to look for and what isn't generally available as female specific stuff. Someone new to buying such stuff might prefer an all womens area 3 - Don't know about brands, but definately some reasonably priced bib shorts and tights and a decent range of jerseys and jackets - not all in pastel colours. What would be nice would be to have measuremeants to be able to compare the mens and womens sizes as well as the different makes - this is one of the reasons I buy very little clothing on-line because I can never tell if it will fit. Ohh and also leg/knee/arm warmers that are made for shorter people - just because we are short doen't mean we have legs/arms like stick insects rant over..... 4 - See 2, although personally most of the stuff I get is mens because womens does not usually fit me very well Now where is that christmas present list.....

How about a dedicated men's section and we'll have the rest of the site.

Hello Michael Nice to be asked! I'm not too fussed re ladies or women's but I think women's works better. I haven't tended to buy much women's specific stuff from you, but if there was a dedicated section then I would be more likely to - I think it would be more likely to grab my attention and encourage yet more online spending. A wider selection of baggy shorts would appeal to me, although I know that there are limitations in terms of what is actually manufactured! And definitely women's specific armour would be a bonus - but I don't even know if it's available anywhere for that matter.

Hi, thanks for asking - women's (I'd say women's rather than ladies) stuff not that easy to find - have to scroll though lots of stuff looking for the word ladies somewhere in the product desc !- a seperate section would be loads better.

 1. Personally neither cause me offence so am not fussed! 2. Easy enough! 3. More choice of women specific body armour though I know that's short in supply anyway. More clothing selection for DH femmes, ie not lycra, baggy shorts and looser fitting riding tops, perhaps Sombrio gear or the like? Other than that the selection is very good. 4. Dedicate a section just to us, it's pretty easy for us toy find what's already on there but having our own section will make us feel more special and ensure we don;t miss out on anything you have to offer!
