i'd recommend dmr.
i've got v8's which are quite cheap now if your on a budget if not get the v12's.

best flats going.
try getting some 5:10 approach shoes too as there dead grippy ( climbing rubber sole ) perfect combination.

Hi,
I use DMR v8's too - they are fairly cheap and very grippy and stable. Only donwside is if you get your shins with the pins but this is unlikely as they grip very well.

I'd second Ad's I've got DMR the £25 ones, and Five ten booties. The Five-tens only come in blokey sizes mine are to big really.

I'll be trundling round Glentress this weekend with them, YEE HA !!

carolyn - i've found out the difference in teh normal 5:10 approach shes ( loads of womens ones ) and the mountain biking ones.

thought i should post it.

its basically on the mtb ones they have a plate inside teh rubber sole to stiffen them and the approach ones don't.

so if your doing long rides, the mtb ones will be better as not so painful? ( i only did 20km max using the normal approach shoes and didnt notice any pain )

Hi Ads,
thanks for that.I was talking to my friend this weekend who use to climb and she said the same thing, flex the sole and see how tough it is before buying. Someone willbring out some soon in pixie size I'm sure !

yeah its only a matter of time until they do proper mtb girl sizes.
hope there not just in pink though ;p

Pink would be perfect for Carolyn, they'll match her bike.

Of course, although I don't want too pink and Barbara Cartland-ish !!!

That's why I couldn't get a pink bike, I have so much pink stuff now.
