I was wondering if anybody has been on a mountain bike maintenance course or Llandeglas Core Skills course and if they found it useful and worth the money?
At the moment, I know how to change a inner tube but struggle with it and when it comes to anything else well have no idea as the OH usually does it for me, so I want to know how to do stuff myself without arguing with my OH. And I'd like to get to know how to do singletrack and other bits and pieces better really.
I did the bike maintenance course and although it is quite basic (so would be ideal for you if you really have no idea, though I guess you know more than you think!) I thought it well worth the £30 especially if you are new to bikes. There is not much of having a go yourself at things, it is mainly instruction with the chap showing you how to do it, whereas I would prefer to have a go myself as that's how I remember things. Print out of info would of been good also as I had forgotten something I was shown and needed to do on my bike, thank god for the park tools website.
Thanks for that, too be honest, thats how I learn best with me having a go at stuff, so not sure if it would be that good value for money, especially if there are websites that I can get the info on.
Hi Franny, We are based in SW Scotland, and can offer 121 maintanence courses for £45 for the day (5 hours) - have a look at www.thebreakpad.com and we can taylor make it for you and even add some mountain biking into this too!!
