Yay that is great that you have already got on your spin bike. Don't push it too much but hope to see you out and about on your bike soon.

Where in the Midlands are you? a recent thread on Veloriders asking much the same fr Notts/Derby area eliceted this response http://www.veloriders.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=66334 If you can't get into it the gist of it is first choice if Nr Stoke - Martin Earley ex pro-rider and team manager but also more locally to Nott/derby Alan Taylor at the Sports Injury Clinic, Mansfield Rd, Nottm or Joel Prorier (was ice hockey player for nottm panthers) possibly now in Coventry

Hi Sinead, that's great news. I can highly recommend Martin Earley - if you can stand the 50 mile route. He's more of an Osteopath than a physio but he'll cerytainly fix you and not tell you to come back unless it is really necessary. Top man. I have his number if you need it.

Hi scooby how are you?, can you mail me his number please? hempty222@yahoo.com I very naughtily rode my mtb to my friends and abck last night, knee feels great a little stiff that's all, so happy with it! Now if i just lift my arm up without my clavicle popping out....... hee hee

HI Gayle, you up to much? not seen you in a while... my knee is doing great now, did 150miles last week on the bike (and still signed off sick!) the only thing i can't do is fully bend it or squat down, so am wondering if i will pass my fitness test to return to work next week.. will also need 2 new knees as a get older, but hey after 8 surgeries already i not in a hurry either! Scooby, NHS physio is sorting the shoulder to avoid any more unpleasantness(surgery) i hope! will see how i get on with them for now thanks.. codliver oil and glucosamine here we come...

Hi, unfortunately i passed my fitness test for work last night, so back on duty - nights at the weekend! yuk!! It was interesting lifting 140k dead weight off floor, was scared for my knee but only pulled my tricep! it was very tempting to fail when they said i would have to go off sick again if i did! Oh well the 30mile round trip on my bike is great training..
|
 |
Yes failing must have been very tempting..... But it's good to hear you are on the mend!
