Looking for riding buddies

Hello!

Well I'm new to shecycles so I thought I'd introduce myself. I've been riding for about a year now, mostly xc/trail riding at the moment although in the long-term downhill seems like fun, but I've got a way to go yet! Had a bit of a bash to my confidence a while ago when I broke my collarbone but am getting back into the swing of things now.

I'm looking for new riding buddies - I have what I reckon is quite a common predicament of having a boyfriend who is a lot better than me - although we ride together about once a week, it would be ace to ride with some ladies who are a bit nearer to my level. None of my female friends are into riding - they can't quite see the appeal of the mud and the potential for falling off! The places I ride at the moment are Broxbourne Woods, Chicksands, Thetford Forest and Epping Forest is close but I haven't made it there yet. Would love to meet up if anyone rides around this neck of the woods!

Hi,I'm in the east End of London and have just started cycling to train for a charity cycle next January.  I think Epping forest is closest to me and would love to gets some 'proper' rides into my training sessions, plus you guys probably have a whole number of tips I could probably do with!

Hello!

Swinley xmas ride sounds good to me, is it in Swinley Forest? What is the riding like in the forest, are the trails marked or is it more a case of finding your own way (and leaving a jelly baby bread trail?!) I think I might come over and investigate.

Donna - how is the training going? Which charity ride are you doing? Meeting up at Epping Forest would be great, am hopefully going there with my boyf within the next two weeks so will hunt out some trails and then we could go! When would be good for you?

Has anyone been on the Get Mountain Biking courses at Woburn - I think I'm going to take myself on one of these, they seem reasonably priced and not too far away...

If you want someone to show you around Epping Forest you could do worse than hook up with www.eppingforestepics.co.uk.

They have a ride sorted out which is about 97% singletrack! (If you like that sort of thing )

If you fancy a trip further south contact me via www.sussexmuddyarse.wordpress.com I'm always trying to encourage more ladies to get out and ride and work part time so if you fancy an afternoon ride let me know...

If you can get to South London and want to ride on the road the bunch (Addiscombe C.C.) I go out with are quite friendly and welcoming
