i have been taking northisterone tablets for over a year now because of over-frequent heavy periods which leave me washed out and mess up my training. I have not found that they leave me more bloated then I was before I started taking them. But they are not regulating my annoying cycle. It is just as erratic and disturbing. There have been so many times this year that I have felt like hitting my head against a brick wall. I would love to be able to do more decent training sessions and enjoy riding my bike without feeling washed out and with over-loose ligaments, which is when my right knee plays up! It would be interesting to put blokes on periods, what would happen to their biking performances? We might outsmart them. After my 100tt effort this weekend for the BAR, I have decided to ask to see a gynocologist because not only do periods leave me tired, they leave me with a leaky gut so I blow up quicker. Set out on schedule for the first hour in the 100 then blew up. The last 60 miles, I got round on brute courage, even though my opposition had come by me at that point. The last 3hrs and 10 minutes where done at training ride power output. It was grim as my 3rd place in the national 100 was done at 200.3 watts and last Saturdays at 185.0. Had I pulled out, which I felt like doing as my neck was really tiring, I would have lost my third possition in the BAR. As it was, it should move me up to 2nd position. Sometimes we just have to persist.
