lol

it does make sense - when i'm out on trails - i do tend to cram cereal bars down my neck really quickly as i dont like holding people up, but i've tried to go over to gels now so that it goes down more easily. However a lot of the gels are really sweet and I end up feeling sick.

I know what you mean about the gels thing, they are great but can get sickly after a bit.

OOh forgot to ask if you use energy drink in your camelbak. Since discovering it I think it's helped me no end with energy on the trails and find I don't need to eat half as much. 2lts gives you about 600 cals worth...

no i haven't tried this but may give it a go

Ah poor treehugger! Did you have someone at home to fuss over and give you hugs? Its not the most pleasant experience but at least you got it over and done with. Did they let you know what they were going to do?

yes they did - i think i just had a real intolerance to it, they had to try 2 or 3 times to get the endoscope down and it a bit painful. I dont like to say too much in case anyone else on here has got to have one. some people were coming out of there very unphased so i think it was largely down to my extra strong gag reflex.

fortunately it was over very quick and it has shown that my oesophagus is normalthankfully. there is some inflammation of the stomach and they have taken a couple of biopsies.

Treehugger you were very brave.
I've had 2 cortizone (spelling) injections lately and I wasn't brave at all.

oh no - i wasn't brave at all! i sobbed for an hour adn a half afterwards.what a wimp!

are the injections helping? are they painful? did you hurt your shoulder from a fall? you've probably told me already but i forget.

Treehugger, I would be crying too. I gag loads when I go to the dentist. So much so it really stresses me out now.

I really hope you don't have to have another one.

The injections are fine, just a teeny bit achy after, the doctor say's I have 20 per cent more mobility in the shoulder now, so hopefully this latest injection, which was in another part of the muscle will loosen things up a bit. He made me laugh, as he stuck the needle in, he said it was great to be able to find the muscle and not have to fight with some flab for a change! That relaxed me abit.
I think It happening when I fell on our skiing holiday in March.

When will you get your results?

you poor thing - I hope they can sort the problem out for you, I suffered so badly from acid reflux when pregnant that they induced the baby as my osoephogus (sp) was bleeding into my stomach - not pleasant at all.
