Just diarhoea or vomitting too?

Had it once before when i had both symptoms above, good way of losing half a stone in three days.

I would say keep your fluids up, if you can eat small meals, carbs maybe?

Hope u feel better for mm.

Energy drink, maybe? With all the, erm, fluid loss it can't hurt to keep the ol' electrolytes up... And fistfuls of Imodium for the weekend.

What crappy timing! (No pun intended, but quite apt none the less.)

Hi Gayle,
when I had this ( in the middle of a snowboarding holiday) I used re-hydration sachets ( you can get them from boots) and avoided dairy produce - found bread , toast and digestive/ plain biscuits the best. Worked well when I had salmonella but that;s another story.. best wishes for a speedy enough recovery.

If you can take them try a recovery drink like Rego or Torq as they have protein as well as carbs. When I had gastric flu last November it was the first calories I could consume, I had a recovery drink a day for three days (after the first three days of being ill), not much but better than nothing. I also used Nuun electrolyte tabs in water to get salts in.

If you do race on Saturday be prepared to just feel knackered with legs like pieces of chewed string as your body has just taken a hammering, as long as you manage your expectations for the day and don't try to ride laps at warp speed it should help. Took me quite a few weeks to feel 100% after gastric flu and get a proper appetite back.

thanks for the advice, i really need to do mayhem as next year may be out, will try some torq as tried diorlyte but it made me feel sick big style, just hoping the squits calm down!
