help! does anyone know of a stockist where i can get size 20 cycle clothing. trousers shorts and racing tops are what i'm looking for. most suppliers only go up to size 14 or 16 as their XL.

Look at corinne dennis - some of her stuff goes up to a size 20. http://www.corinnedennis.co.uk/

thanks LA just what i needed

That's really useful, thanks! And thanks to frog for asking too, I'm sure there are others looking for larger sizes. I seem to be pretty stuck with Altura at the moment for larger shorts so will try some of these. :) And they have large 3/4 lengths, hoorah!

I must admit, I have tried some corinne dennis stuff and I would recommend staying away from some of the shorts with the higher cotten content - not very attractive sweat lines in the nether regions.

There is a company that comes to the Mildenhall cycle rally every year that makes cycle clothing to order, although it is cottin based and not 'technical' fabics as far as I recall - unfortunately I can't for the life of me remember the name!

Team Estrogen also has a section for plus sizes - selection of jerseys, lycra/bagy shorts. They are American based so it would cost a bit for shipping and potentially tax if you get nabbed. The forum is also quite good if very American biased.
Its here (remebering to post the link!): http://www.teamestrogen.com/categories.asp?catID=53

Maybe a group order from team estrogen is in order - split the shipping cost.

I might be up for a group order from Team Estrogen - as it does work out very expensive for 1 jersey - why can't we get some of these designs in the UK as most are brands available here.

thank god its not just me i am a size 14/16 and all the girly riding shirts do not alow for a 46 year old nan with a bit of a tum ( ok Fat ) and finding bagy shorts is a mare thanks for the tip girls will be looking into it right now

Lidl just did some stuff which went up size 18, but you'll have to be quick. I usually wear a 16 and often buy men's shirts and shorts.
I'm pleased its not me - I find most the cycling clothing is for 6ft stick insects - not 5ft somethings over 40. However I got some sugoi shorts with a liner which are excellent and don't ride up like other shorts
Thanks for the other advise

I got some men's Altura shorts a few weeks ago that are nice. I was determined to find some baggies with a seperate liner. :)
i got some fab endura baggies in large that fit me and the liners too (size 16) i also thoroughly recommend mwears cycling short great fit

Assos 3/4 bib's are a great fit for the Xtra Lovely lady, as are endura's 3/4, I swear by them, winter/summer etc. M&S do some excellent base layers and Specialized men's jersey's and pro bib shorts are pretty ace too.... Didn't like Corrine Dennis stuff made me felt like I was wearing old girls clothing and the cotton content was a bit too much...
 Embarassing sweat marks.....? :-)
Um cotton can have that effect.....

I've got some Specialized men's bibs, shorts and shirts. Expensive but good quality. Got my base layers from Aldi, excellent value at about 5.99. I'm on their email list so get prior warning of their specials, same with Lidl. Picked up a set of bike tools in presentation case for 16.99 last week, beter than the set on wiggle.
