That's about all I know, oh and that its freeride downhill type stuff, which I'm not interested in.

This is the website linked to it

http://www.northwestriders.net/Frontpage.html

Ask Carolyn though, some of the girls in her club www.groovytribe.co.uk are into that sort of riding.

Ooh I just looked at that nwriders site with the info about that quarry. The photo suggests big travel bike and full face helmet is the norm. Didn't realise you were into that sort of riding Deb? As Trio say Carolyn knows a few girls through Groovy Tribe who are into DH/Freeride stuff might be worth having a word with them for a few pointers.

Buckstones found some photos of it on Flickr.

I take it from that Debz you have progressed from the Red at Llandegla then !!

Yep my friends went the other day it is just north of Rochdale. Very technical and tricky in places. I think Mrs NBT posted something about it last week.

If it's Lee quarry, then I don't think you need all the body armour etc.

See my post.

2 different places. Lee Quarry (Rossendale area) XC riding. Buckstones Quarry (bit north of Oldham near Rochdale) DH/Freeride.

I'll leave you to it debz, downhill doesn't interest me.  But I would recommend maybe meeting up with some girls who do it, as said above Carolyn knows some.  They are likely to be a little less scary for your first time.

Lee quarry I want to have a go at now!

If you name a day me and Jumbly will take you on some of the nice downhills at rivi, not quite the same level but tricky enough as it is.
