Hello

I was wondering wich "girl" short isn't too girl specific.

I have just received a royal racing short in S and it's too big for me, like at least a couple of inches waist size .

So it's either girl or kids gear. And I think my pride will suffer less of buying girl stuf than kid stuff.

Any suggestion?

Cheers

P.S. I don't mind pink... But please nowt of this "pale blue girl" that won't match any of my bikes/ existing gear.

Aren't they likely to be big on the arse and tight on the waist for you though?  Seeing as they are made for women?

For what it's worth Sombrio stuff seems to have a big waist and be tight on the hips for me, so  might be a bit "blokey" shaped.

I guess you have already asked on stw?  I have a mate who is pretty skinny (thinner than me anyway , haha) who seems to find stuff ok (though he does moan about most shorts being a bit big) and I'm sure he doesn't buy women's stuff.

Or try to get a small in something with an elasticated waist?

Asked on STW that would mean I don't expect a serious answer . And all the STer I have met would need a l or a xl...

I am actually bored of STW... Looks more like a warzone than a forum if you ask me.

Most guys on STW act like idiot fact... As my mate t shrt says, boys stink throw rock at them.

But yeah I haven't though about the ratio hips/bottom

kid sectio it is then

have you tried asking on the "bike forum" on stw though.  Rather than the bullshit forum where you usually hang out

Nope but I usually don't get nice answers;)

but I'll try now

Have you tried Endura?

Have a look at chainreactioncycles, they seem to have a good selection of baggies

Maybe you need to go to a big shop and try loads on.  Or just order loads online and send the ones that don't fit back.

Nike women's shorts are really small so you could try nike mens

My partner has about a 28-29inch waist and has a pair of the altura summit shorts in small (the mens version, the altura sizing chart says that a small is supposedly 27-29inches) - he reckons they are ok.

Hi Juan!

Are you going to blame the British food?  You do need to put a few pounds on

Seriously, it's interesting that you are finding it difficult.  Thought it was just us girlies.

When are we going to see you next?

Hello birdy

I'll for sure pop by at the MM as so many people want to see me.

I have an eye on the tunnel hill forum but PhD writing up is taking most of my time.

I'll do my best indeed

agree with Sombrio comments - they have big waists & tight over the hips, so they should be perfect for you. ( I'm a 30 waist and where medium )

lots of loud colours and not what i'd call girly styles.

Have a look at Minx? Loads of girl stuff including baggies

Damn

Just when I wanted to order a nice pumpkin short from wiggle the size S is not available any more :'(...

That's my luck.
Just another question I am learning to jump at the moment and falling a fair bit.

How brainlessjumpyriderproof are sombrio short? Do you know?
Cheers

Wiggle are selling Kona men's shorts in sizes 26in, 28in and upwards at only £19.99. Hopefully one of these sizes might fit? And they seem to have loads in stock at the moment. Have good reviews too.

Angie thanks for that a lot

I just received a 28" waist one and miracle... It fits a bit short on the knees but waist is good and I don't need a belt

Thanks again for that much more appreciated.

Glad to be of assistance .

Hi angie I have tried it

Very confy short, the 28" suits me just fine, a bit on the short side from the legs but fine nontheless.

The lining inside wick very well. I have crashed yet, but I plan on jumping this week end so it will be tested.

Thanks for the tips again
