Hi,
I've got back into road cycling again over past year or so (having given it up for rowing). Have set myself the challenge of completing the coast2coast next month. (Prob over 3 days) Anyone interested in joining me?

Would also be great to find a cycling buddy that lives in South Leicestershire and wants to go out for anything from an hour up to three hours. I have a young daughter so my times have to be worked around when my hubby can babysit.

On the plus side I have a backup/luggage driver and support crew for the C2C!

I would be interested but as a teacher do not have three days once term starts. What were you thinking of? Tried to e-mail you but I must be doing something wrong. any replies I send always comeback.

Hi,

Have just picked up your message - so I don't know why it bounced back. Thanks for the interest.

I am looking at Friday 12th Sept - Sun 14th Sept. No definate plans yet - as no accomo booked. I'm currently debating whether I can whether to do it over two or three days. I reckon I could probably do it in two days if I have someone to ride with. What do you think?

Tracy.

Hello Tracy,

I could do it in two days (I think). Distance would not be a problem. Severity migt be another thing. Perhaps a couple of hours, say to Keswick, might be possible on the Friday night If you wanted. Otherwise an early start. I'll pass you my e-mail address in the message thing which I don't understand. let me know if you do not get it. I hope you are not Rebecca Romero. I moght struggle to keep up!

It sounds as if we may be on a similar pegging as I'm not Rebecca Romero and like you it isn't the distance that concerns me over two days its how much the climbs will take out of me! I have replied to your message and I'm keen to sort something out as now have renewed motivation knowing I may not be alone.

Anyone out there have any experience of how severe the climbs are? Or anyone with any advice?

Tracy.
