Not at all!!!  im after the Kona four Lisa, its finding a good shop that will part ex for e reasonable price, havent a clue what they are going for? ther isnt a mark on it and my baby has been well looked after shes 6months old now , what Kona have you got is it red?

Yeah identical to yours I think in that reddy orange colour. Try Life Cycles in Bolton or Green Machine in Horwich, both Kona dealers so can get you in a Lisa and I think both take part-ex, Green Machine definitely do and both shops are run by nice people who will do you the best deal they can.

..or hanbags, or shoes.. (Patsy Ab-Fab).

As I am the Imelda Marcos of bike clothing (apparently) I agree youcan never have enough bikes, and you never get what they are worth either.

Just had a look at the Kona Lisa Four. I wouldn't waste your money Deb you'll not be able to tell the difference. It's just the same bike tarted up a bit.

You could always just buy new bits for it

So you think they are the same then  Carolyn?  i just want a newbie thats all but Ste said i have to get rid of one first, i dont say anything about his on going guitar collection!!  Men!! huh  think i will torch them all in the back garden!! been using the marin for couple of weeks but prefer Kona i like the four Lisa because its pink or am i just being soft?  is any of you guys going to Klunkers bash?  on the 26th

Pink

Lovely colour for a bike

Yep. They discontinued the Kikapu. Look at the pictures of them both together. The Lisa's are women specific thats all and your other isn't. I haven't looked at in great detail but I think the components on the Lisa are cheaper than what was on the Kikapu. The travel appears to be the same. They just change them slightly every year so people fall into the trap of buying a new bike, waste of money. Honestly you probably would not notice anything different at. It maybe that the frame size of the Lisa and some of the bits are different to suit a female, but again that is personal preference. Jumbly may have a better idea od the slight differences as she has a Kikapu.

When will we see you out anyway you have kept a low profile ??!!

Oi Poots whats wrong with Pink--beeehave..

i have been doing alot of road biking due to me doing the manc-blackpool ride , but im ready and cant wait to hit the hills again!!  its the womans fit im after i had a go on my mates the other week and thedifference was better for me, ive tried raising my handlebars on my kona but still no difference really,  i must admit i like the Scott pink contessa carbon but he would die if i came home with that ......hmmmm i wonder if he is insured lol

Colour is a long way down the list of priorities for me so I'd rule out going for it just because it's pink. Fit and spec are what matter when you're out on the trail. So, my advice for what it's worth.

Spec: I just had a look at the spec on the Lisa and I wouldn't bother getting rid of the kikapu for that, it's so close between them. (I'm getting rid of my Kona because I made a significant upgrade in bike and got a deal on something that I knew I would kicked myself forever over if I hadn't gone with it.)

Fit: The new bike I've gone for is a womens specific and the fit is better for me but I'm really short. The Marin you ride isn't womens specific and you seem to get on OK with that but I'm not familiar with the differences in geometry between them all. If the womens specific geometry is massively different on the kona lisa compared to the kikapu and the ride position is hugely more comfortable then I guess it's your money to get what you want.

If you like the marin, get the measurements of that and compare!  The lisa might be spot on or not but gives you an idea.
