Did not say I do not have a MTB, though no not up to the standard of some on here, though at the mo it is residing over in Walton-le-Dale, along with Andrew's as we go out on the RVJ saturday off road ride on them and it is easier than always transporting them to and fro.  Certainly made life easier when unable to drive and had to catch the 125 up to WlD.

Mind you now I have more room with new garage, and trip to New Forest coming up they will have to be brought back here in next couple of weeks.

Well missed rain on my commute to and from work today, though it clearly rained whilst I was there, but another dull, grey, windy and cool day for time of year.  But take heart cos so far they have only had one really good weather day in the TdF and today looked total pants.

PS remiss of me i know, but been busy, have not congratulated Trio on her brill debut time trial ride on Weds evening.  Despite mega self doubt about how fast a 20mph 10 mile ride would be, and doubting it was possible, she did 28 mins ( sorry forgot the seconds).  I knew she could do a good ride it is very obvious from the amount of riding she is doing she is fit and once the baggy mtb gear came off, you can see she is very fit.

Well done Trio.

bloomin weather & MX enduro = ruined trail building. We ran the are you tough enough enduro the other week and it was dry and a great success, but now 8 miles of sheer love and hard work has been ruined and lots of it is literally unrideable grrrr

everytime I ride my bike.....it rains a little....everytime, I ride my bike I wonder why a little.....why the gods above me, who must see my pain....think so little of me, that they keep making it rain.

Quite fed up with it peeing with rain everytime I put bum to saddle - another drenching on the way to work this morning, when I made up the above, sorry for that... When will it stop?

Your joking right?? Yesterday for me was one of the best days of the year...super hot and sunny..trails were 90% dry, just a few puddles after last weeks horrendous rain.  Fabbby fast singletrack and didnt see another soul..apart from a walker...sigh.. perfect

Yesterday evening was like that!  yesterday morning was wet!

We had a fab ride yesterday evening in the sun and on dry trails. It made such a nice change. My shoes were still wet from my ride on Sunday though!

We had glorious weather on sunday!  I got sunburnt...again
Show/hide user stats
Yes it was lovely weather on Sunday but as we were riding in the white peak the trails were still wet and muddy from all the rain last week. Also crossing a fairly deep stream didn't help with keeping the feet dry!!

Sunny on Sunday but had to work from 2pm so missed some of it.

Yesterday there was a heavy downpour just as my son had to go to school, but then it was just dull, grey and windy gradually improving as the day went on.

Another dry evening for kids training session on Preston Arena, so far it has been dry all summer for them.

Back to dull grey and windy today.

So long as it is out of it's system before 24th when I pack for hols in the New Forest.

You just need to come south  Its not that bad ...I'm a yorkshire lass and never thought I could find a place as beautiful as "home" but I live on the edge of the chilters so it doesnt get much better... get me a decent well paid job in Wales though and I'd move tomorrow!

Its been sunny and hot all week... today it cloudy.. no rain though

yet more rain in Sheffield today. grumble grumble.

Got a spare room Ruthie?

off to N. Wales camping this weekend, no doubt it'll rain the whole time, but i won't let it stop me this weekend; otherwise i really will be unfit!

Well the Royal Lancs Show was to move to it's new site/open today but instead it has been cancelled due to, yet again, a waterlogged ground.

At least it means I won't have to dice with the all the traffic if I do my usual pre-shift ride tomorrow.

Despite all the rain, we had virtually no water this morning due to the fire brigade nicking it for a local fire!  I know they talk about policement getting younger but I swear one firefighter I saw was no more than 12!!!!  Oh help.

Trio best wishes for the weekend.

seems a fitting time to raise this issue. after a whole week of lovely weather we are back again with rain rain rain, although it has been uncommonly warm at the same time. still it didn;t stop a thousand people doing the selkirk merida last weekend (if you were there you know what i mean), and doubtless SITS should be fun on Sat with heavy rain predicted. Hey ho - out with the wellies again
