Print skirt/skorts?
Something more interesting than black?

Okay, my mom wants to get me some bikey stuff for b-day from the US and something I really want (call me weird) is a wraparound cycling skirt for my commutes and some coast rides. I often ride into town to work in a co-op gallery and it'd just be nice to not be so completely lycra looking!

But of course now I can't find any interesting ones online. So does anyone have linked to stuff on US websites that is a little more interesting than the black skirts I keep finding? Would love some wacky patterns or something. Just a bit more colour!

Ta,

Tina.

I love my wrap skirts and skorts - but only had black so far.  Maybe I should get some brighter ones for summer?  Some of those Terry ones look great

Whoo hooo! I knew I could count on your ladies! And teamestrogen was the one I was trying to remember. Great prints! and even though it's just brown I'm really liking that Cargo skort. Hmm. Terry's got a much better pic of the flared skirt!

oh and Terry's has just wrapper skirts! That's *perfect*! I already have shorts.

I picked up a really nice green wrap skirt for cycling last summer from Mountain Equipment Co-Op in Canada (Skirt on MEC).  You have to become a member to buy stuff from them, but a fair amount of their stuff you can buy and get sent over OK.

There are some for sale in the UK here.

I have a black wrapper which I wear over shorts. Is a skort more comfortable or does it really not make any difference?

I just really want a wrapper Tara. I've taken to wearing a couple of my skirts over my cycling shorts in town and just quite like not looking too bikey when I get where I'm going. For my coast rides I'd like them too, but as I bring 2 pairs of shorts anyway and wash them it'd be easier to just have 1 wrap.

Anyway, thanks for the UK links. Now I can pick my own should my mother choose something else. I've asked for a few things so a skirt may not make the cut.
