for different areas in the uk whats your favourite camp sites & bunk barns? mine are normally related to good pubs nearby and not too busy/caravan style sites.

lakes - dudden valley camp site. newfield inn pub is excellent and the site is often quieter than rest of lakes sites.

n wales - bunk barns near coed b (dogellaw? sorry for spelling) or for non biking - llanberis camp site next to vanyol arms

peak - little field next to roaches

n yorks - never found a good camp site! recommend me one?

also im off camping this bh and planning on n wales biking trip - anyone recommend me a good camp site and some must do trials? ( done penmachno, llandgela red & mbr so far)

I use a campsite called cwmlannerch by Betws Y Coed, it's on the B road between Betws and Llanwrst. You can't book but it's a quiet site £6pppn and you can ride the marin trail from there.

Fave site in Skye is Glen Brittle as it's right on the beach and you watch the sun set on the horizon

One of my favorites is Grizedale in the lakes.  The riding is amazing, and the campsite perfect.  you are allowed to have a fire and the farmer is so so friendly.

Nat Trust Langdale campsite was a good onein the Lakes. Not stayed there for about ten years as have moved onto renting cottages. It still seems the same when I ride past. Three pubs nearby and NOWT else, superb for MTB riding.
