I've just come off my shift at work, the sun is blazing in the sky and I've got to mow the lawn - question is: shall I just pave the entire lawn for a low maintenance, bike friendly garden?

I always get in trouble for accidentally putting degreaser on the grass, and killing it.  So yes.

I never mow the lawn, it is other halves job

Alas, my OH is a gardener, so my only contribution to the garden is to mow the meadow of a lawn, and because of this damn gorgous weather it keeps growing...i'd rather be riding!!!

There was me thinking you were talking about how draggy it is... I have a field near me I call the field of treacle..... real leg burner.

Sure there must be a nice old boy near you will do it for a tenner a week?? OR do as I did and buy the SO a really spangly mower ...petrol engine and pulls you round the garden...£250 BUT no ear ache and takes a third of the time = more biking

I'd pave the whole thing too.  I'm always amazed at how many "fields of treacle" as Ruthie called it there are on routes I've ridden recently.

we have a hill called "velcro hill" cos it is so draggy!
