Slightly OT BUT Had a fab long weekend at Afan and had the absolute pleasure of doing the new "Energy" section of Whites level yesterday... OMG I think its the the most amazing inventive bit of trail building I have ridden in years...11 out of 10 for flow, content, challenge and sheer flippin thrill factor Made an already great trail a superb trail...exactly what whites needed to raise the bar. Dont get me wrong I love natural trails but that is brilliant! Ruthie

Hi Ruthie, I happened to have ridden it too on Saturday!! Was that the 'dirt jump' section and everything that followed just after? Yeah, loved it too, well worth the pig of a hill at the start!! Also loved the very first down, but perhaps that was just because we'd stopped climbing! I'm getting very converted when it comes to natural Vs man-made... BTW a few of us will be heading for Afan again in mid-june (see other thread) so if you want a bit more of the same, feel free to join us! Hopefully see you again soon - Keep having fun

We went back for more actually, and rode it several it was so good! Your SO is nuts !! Good to hear you're coming along, should be a good one. Take it you will need accomm? So far there's miss G, K8t0, Mrs D and me booked in the log cabin, and it can sleep 5 though that's 2 sharing a double bed. Seems to be plenty of space for a thermarest on the floor if preferred.

Am a bit scared now - don't do jumps unless they little.....

I really enjoyed it when last up, wasn't long after it was open so still needed beded in a wee bit, but I bet its dry and super fast now....

MissG, as far as I remember there's nothing that can't be dropped off / rolled on or even walked past if need be. Am very much still at the learning stage of jumping, hence taking a class.. no worries, it'll be a laugh and it's not like there's any competition like when with the boys

ah if they droppable that's ok then! I usually bottle it as I am getting to them and then look back and see they weren't that big anyway.....

 |
It was a bit too new last time I did Whytes - still off there in just over a week, so we'll see then.

Its def very smooth and fast now...crikey! my SO was laughing when we stopped at the end listening to me yelping over some of the bigger jumps and drops. All i have been thinking about is when can I go again and have another bash... its that good
