Recommend me a flask for picnic rides!

My very old Aladdin vacuum flask has died on me and I feel I have lost a friend. It's always been there for me on so many chilly bike rides and walks, my coffee has always been piping hot for hours on end.

Unfortunately it doesn't look as though Aladdin are still in business.

What does everyone else use? What works, what doesn't? I prefer a screw-top lid rather than the press button type as I have found that they can leak.

Thanks.

Hi Old Bird

I've found a stockist of Aladdin stuff at:

If you have no luck - Lifeventure do a really good stainless steel one. I use one for my day hikes in the mountains and it hasn't let me down yet. They are a bit pricey at c£18 for a .5 litre but they do keep my hot choc warm after 8 hours. Field & Trek have got them in at £16.

Hi there Scooby. You've obviously been Googling as well! The Aladdin one is the wrong size though. Sounds as though it will be a Lifeventure from your recommendation. Thanks for that.

Hope you are recovering well and your dental treatment is all sorted out. Enjoy your Cannock Forum Ride on Sunday. Am out tomorrow at the Oxfordshire one, should be fun on the wet chalk!
