Hi ya everyone. I ride a Trek WSD 6500 which I love though the forks are not the best so my boyfriend has mutter that he will get me some new ones for christmas. We have done some looking on the net I like to look of the rock shox reba's. Can anyone pass comment or give me any advice on my upgrade please, as I'm discovering new forks will not be a cheap investment.

What fork do you currently have? When you say they are not the best are you finding them flexy or not just moving enough? It might just be a setup issue.

Anyway I have 2007 rebas and have been very happy with them from the start. A while to work out the setup of them and have had to very little with them since. And the widget that allows you to control the compression lockout is quite useful - when I remember to use it that is. They are a lightweight yet stiff fork IMO - they seem to be a popular choice of forks these days but I can see why.

I like my Rebas too.

Hi LA I currently have Manitou Axel elite TCP lockout forks. Can't wait till christmas to upgrade.

which rebas are you looking at getting?

I think it was the rock shox reba race dual air 2007 that we were looking.

Replaced same forks with same forks. Huge improvement, but the Axels were completely stuffed, so hardly surprising. Really nice going to an air fork and being able to set it up just right with minimum hassle.

May be not cheap, but worth it if your old forks aren't working for you. Better forks did make a difference for me and also for a friend too.

I've found my Rebas much better than the two sets of other forks I had before. Still haven't quite got the setup sorted properly yet - still trying to get the right tweaks from the manual recommended setup. Any suggestions LA?

Being air they are good as they cope with the lighter (than the average man) and less aggresive female. And aren't sticky and difficult to move like some other forks.
