Any recommendations for helmets which give you space to tie your hair back? I currently have a Met one but it's not a very good fit and Giros seem to get in the way of my hair.

I'd like something with lots of vents, a visor for MTBing and not in pink.

i have this problem too, i now sport pigtails under my giro switchblade.

I have the Giro Skyla in a green and white pattern. Had it for crimbo.

It fits realy well even over my big curly mop of hair. Had always had mens helmets before but am converted. Its nice and light with a realy easy adjustment at the back for a snug fit.

You could easily have a low ponitail, or the gap between the lock and the base of the helmet it quite large to fit your pony through that.

Only ridden in damp cold conditions so far so dont know how cool it will keep my head in the summer.

It comes in a few colours I think, this one went best with my long sleeved top, well I am a girly it has to co-ordinate.

I recomend you get down to your LBS and try a few on.

I have a Giro that I have to pull my ponytail through the gap between the adjusto-knob and the base of the helmet and I also have a Specialized that a low ponytail or pigtails work fine with. As everyone has said, go try stuff on - even amongst the same brand helmets don't necessarily fit the same.

I have a Giro E2 which I have never had a hair issue with and I have a really thick hair. Saying that I do wear it as a low ponytail. I had to wear pigtails with my Met.
