DOn't do what I did with my exposure light. I used a cheap n nasty IKEA allen key for the litle bolt to fix light to bracket. I don't think it is machined to the exact size that propoer allen keys are. The bolt is alloy and therfore quite soft - I managed to shear off the sides of the bolt where the key fits. Will have to order new one.
So be careful with the fixings!!
BTW how expensive was Petzl head torch?? Interested in how it goes on helmet!

Well cycled in today and the light seems great, unfortunetly I have oversized handlebars so I'm attached the bracket with a zip tie, probably not the best way to do it! I've order a bracket for my bars, and will put this one on my mountain bike. I will be trying the lights off road tomorrow.

I paid £25 including p&p at SJScycles, they had cheaper & dearer models. The beam is focusable and on most concentrated, shone for 100 plus feet.

It fits my helmet as long as I remove the visor. I was aware of extra weight though until I do a ride, won't know how it feels after several miles.

Initial impressions favourable except for the lack of info re batteries.

Can i ask is that a Petzl head torch like you use for climbing or is it a special bike one?

treehugger,
I honestly don't know, I suspect it is the same or very similar. SJScycles have two or three models on offer, I went for the middle one.

Well I went on my first night ride last night, and the lights seem great. I also have a helmet light now and that seems to really help. We did a really easy loop up at Rivington and it was great fun. Such a nice evening as well, didn't even need a coat.
