Just got back from a short ride with NBT. Funnily enough rode past those guys ( the older ones) that were standing at the end of that descent. They were going through Lyme park, all eleven of them. I recognised the yellow jackets.

Sat 25th is good with me. Hope would be a good base especially if we got time for tea at Woodbine cafe afterwards. There's a few good routes from Hope like Mam Tour etc.

OK cool, lets pencil it in and arrange details nearer the time. If my friend comes out then we may have to tailor the ride and make it fairly straighforward - she is not very confident. If she doesn't then we should include descents of rushup edge and jacobs ladder - as we talked about doing them the other day.

I got in touch with Sian about her next ride (25th) to see if it's going to be Dark Peak again or alittle nearer to us, maybe we could join them.

Laughed when I got home from the ride. Only half the things on my list for NBT were done. On the brighter side he had done a lot of things that weren't on the list, so you were right Ros. Made me chuckle.

Oh yes, Thurs. night we are riding from Otterspool, Offerton Road, ( just through Marple), at the back of the Hare and Hounds pub. 7.30 ish. It won't be anything difficult. Mainly flatish trails through woods. Let me know Ros if you can make it.

Mrs NBT - let us know what Sian decides to do on the 25th and we can make our plans.

I probably won't come out on Thursday night as I have been out with the boys tonight for 2.5 hrs. Also we are off to the 7 stanes on friday so probably a good idea for me to sort my bike out and pack etc. I would like to come and ride around yours sometime though - maybe next week.

My hubby is doing a mad road ride on the 25th with a couple of mates so won't be able to come out with us. I think they are trying to ride all of the main passes in the Peaks in a day.

But your other half is more than welcome to come riding with us anyway - it doesn't have to be just girls. Maybe NBT will come as well?

hi girls - have a new name owing to fantastic feat of gymnastics in coed y brenin about which i'll tell you when i see you. It was a fab weekend adn jolly fun.

Dont know what you're doin this weekend but I'm meeting my friend Claire on Sun, to go out with a group of ladies who go out once a week in Peak. (Think she found out about them on singletrack.)

Meeting 10am at Hathersage swimming pool car park fro 10.30 start.

Bike was great - did a lot more on downhill than ever before. Fab new routes down there as well.

Hi Treehugger!! You will have to tell us how you got your new name - I am intrigued although could probably guess!

I am away this weekend unfortunately. It is good to know there is another group of girls out there riding in the Peak - have they got a ride planned for next weekend? Perhaps we could join up with them? By the way I probably can't make 10am next Sat - will be more like 11 if that is ok?

I had fun this weekend in Scotland exploring the 7 Stanes - Mabie, Ae and Dalbeattie. Pretty full on riding - I was glad of my newly purchased body armour in a couple of places!

what did you think to forest of Ae. that last downhill goes on forever. think its the best place i've done.

Yep Hope ride on 25th - maybe even 11.30 if poss as we have a guy coming around to look at our fireplace at 10/10.30 so I guess even 11 would be pushing it. Sorry to be a pain.

As for next Thursday - your first night ride Treehugger. Would you be happy to start from my place in New Mills? We can come up with a pretty good circuit out from here.

by the way re the ride at Ae - yep it was great. But I was so wet and cold at the time I don't think I fully appreciated it! Will have to go back there sometime.
