Show/hide user stats

hi yes i should be out this week if recovered from merida. might be cycling to bakewell on wed for work so prob thurs be better for me. or if raining on wed - might not cycle to bakewell and back and could ride then.

selkirk was just mud, mud mud

where's hollinsclough?

Show/hide user stats

Hey ya,

Hollinsclough is Buxton/Beyond bakewell way, we camped over by the Roaches and did 2 rides round there. (it's in the white peak book)

Sorry to hear you had yet another muddy event! i bet you and Julie still had a fun weekend though

Mail me re Weds or Thurs.

Mellow & I are doing a quick Blacka ride tomorrow if your legs are ready by then? Maybe see fi Robinn wants to join us?

Hi Ads, yes I have done Hollinsclough and it is pretty full on in a white peak slippery and jaggy kind of way. Did you do the South Buxton loop? I did that one a couple of weeks ago with Mrs NBT.
Show/hide user stats

Hi Ros, yep South Buxton loop in white peak book.

it was very funny seeing the dumbass motocross bikers trying to go up it and falling off all the time snigger. i had to walk a section of the drop off's on teh last down hill into teh villiage.... too hardcore for me!

also did a wye valley cheedle???? ride in that book ,can't remember what it was called. really nice riding that part of the peak. i don't get out there often enough. felt more like being in yorkshire than the peak.

shecycles white peak meet needed

Yes I do like the white peak for a change but every time I ride there I always think that I prefer the riding in the dark peak.

Hi everyone

So who is about for a ride this weekend then? Either Sat or Sun or both. Don't mind where. Any thoughts?

Show/hide user stats

Hi I'm not around this weekend but am around the following one (bank hol) and keen to get out. Although I suspect lots of people prob going away... Sat or Mon suit me best

Ads - I can do tomorrow eve (Thurs) - from whenever you free

Show/hide user stats

ally txt me i've lost your number.

def up for thurs evening ride. we could do calver?

Show/hide user stats
Like Ally I'm not about this weekend but the following Sun or Mon I could be - poss bloke too
Show/hide user stats

who's around Sat then?

what route/time etc

Show/hide user stats

I am around but would rather ride in the pm as the olympics cycling is on in the morning. Where are you thinking of riding? I don't mind leading a ride - which would mean starting at Hope, Hayfield, New Mills, Whaley Bridge.

I will be riding on Sunday too. I think the weather is looking slightly better for Sunday so will maybe do a longer ride on Sunday.

OK here is my vague plan for this weekend. It looks like it is going to rain on Sat pm so I am going to do a gentle 2-3 hours ride around my side of the Peak District from New Mills/ Hayfield, prob starting at about 11 or 12. On Sun the weather looks better so I plan to do a longer more techy ride from Hope (maybe including Rushups Edge as I haven't been down there for a while). If anyone wants to join in with either or both of these rides then let me know and we can sort out details etc.

might txt you sat mid morning Ros. I like the sound of your plan - just depends if your in a rush cause im pretty slow as you know! i'll keep in touch & let you know
Show/hide user stats
No worries Ads, a gentle pace would be good for me on Sat am as I went out last night with my OH and almost died! Just let me know if you fancy joining me, don't mind hanging on for you as I will be on my own otherwise. Maybe see you tomorrow.

ok matey i'll text you in the morning to confirm.

i like the sound of a gentle pace Hayfield ride! Been meaning to come back and ride it now for ages.

I could get to Hayfield/New Mills for 11.30ish without any bother.

see if India & Daz are gonna join us too?
