ok great idea - will have a look at map - we could always start at fox house and head down towards linacre or holmesfield - i always see bikers round there but dont know any routes. lets both have a look tonight. another option would be to try and fuse chatswothr with some of the calver ride. will get back to you tonight or tomorrow.

OK sounds good, am not at home tonight so won't be able to look at maps or the internet so guess we will have to confirm tomorrow. Would a 10.30 start be ok with you?
yes that could be fine with me
Ros if you two fancy something a bit different - I can join Calver onto Chatsworth - both routes are ordinarily about 2 hrs each, can be slightly less in the dry. There is a couple of nice cafes as well either Edensor or Caudwell Mill (you and I went there once but it was just closing) - not to mention Calver Cafe at the end!!!. I would suggest meeting at Bridge Pub just outside Calver. There are some big hills on this route and some good long downhills. Or dont mind if you got a route in mind.

Sounds great - I am quite happy to do a longer ride and to experience new routes. A cafe stop or 2 also sounds good. I will meet you at the Bridge Pub, Calver at 10.30 - where is it exactly? The only place I know in Calver is the t lights in the centre with the Outside shop on it. Is it anywhere near there? I will let Julie know as well. Are there any technical descents - do I need the stumpy? So Trio - are you joining us?
Go straight through the lights towards Baslow for a few hundred yards, keeping the Outside on your right. On your left you will see the Bridge Inn, and a little lay-by bit with some bottle banks in front of Curbar Primary school. it's free to park there. As for stumpy - there is a choice of descents - one of which is awesomely technical, affectionately known as the chute. If you want to do this then definitely stumpy and armour. But we dont have to do this descent. I have done all parts of these trails on my hardtail but the gears need sorting so i will prob be on stumpy anyway.
Probably not, I'm just so tired at the moment I'm thinking a lie-in on saturday will be nice.
dont blame you - i'm having one on sunday! And then family day riding in SHerwood Pines. nice and relaxed with hot chocolatte after
Great TH - see you there at 10.30. I will bring the stumpy so that we can keep our options open. I have text Julie so hopefully she will join us.
 great see you in morning
Should be able to make it, just got to still clean off the bike and change the mud tyres to something more Peak friendly. Ros, I'll text you anyway, but i think I'll come to you first as I have no idea where we're going....mystery tour see you tomorrow
Ok that will be fine Julie - if you get to mine for 9.45am we should be fine.
Hiya I was just wondering if anyone is riding this weekend for me and t'other half to tag along? Don't mind where as we can get to the Peaks quite easily and we are otherwise free this weekend
i will be out and about on one of the days - which one do you fancy - prob sat is the best for me.
That would be fab - I will speak to him indoors and see what he says. Where are you planning on going?
Hey guys, a bit of advance planning but shall we try and get a few girls for a Peak ride on the 16/17th Aug? Who is about that weekend? I don't mind where but fancy a go at Cut Gate (as long as it is dryish) and I haven't done it for a while.
Ros-was thinking about riding in Macclesfield forest, we haven't been there for ages. Does anyone fancy there? It's full of quite steep ups, but then we're rewarded by long rocky descents. A few lanes and fields of doom, but a ride with everything.
If I'm not in the Lakes then I'd be up for joining you. TH we are ok for Sat - let me know when and where
MG do you want to do my local ride around stanage? have you ridden there before? most popular place to meet is the Fox House pub (huge car park) on 625 . If you coming N on the M1 its prob a good meeting place as its South Peak. If you've done that route how about Hathersage or LBower.
Jane and Ros - yes dont mind that weekend - I would like to got to the lakes but not sure whether can do that now. SO keelp me posted. Macclesfield - not been there before - sounds good.
