Ooh, the frame's ready to rock? Excellent. Have fun!

PS - I posted a profile pic a while ago but it hasn't appeared yet. Should it be instant? (Do I confess now that I am allegedly a techie??)

ok had a think and as im trying out new bike parts local will be best. sorry pez.

me and rik will be at ladybower pub on sunday at 10.30am for the winhill ride- it would be ace if you all joined us.

be there or be square

mrs doolittle i think calver might be a better bet as it looks a bit windy tomorrow. I can extend this ride into chatsworth if you want a bit more distance wise! not sure what your pace is like but this ride can certainly be done in less than two hours.

you can park in this car park below.

but could you please email me or text me to say you are defintiely coming or i will probably bike from home as looks like noone else is coming out. i have emailed you my mob

bridge pub

ps summat weird goin on with the link but seems to work

Treehugger - thanks for Saturday, I did enjoy it, despite the grimish weather!

What type are your shin guards again?

Show/hide user stats

hi mrs D

think my shinguards are 661 race lite. after i left you at fox house, i got absolutely soaked and rode straight inot the wind all the way home. was nearly hypothermic - but got a nice cup of tea and loads of sympathy off the OH

Show/hide user stats

yeah, my Aldi special jacket wasn't that dry on the inside either! Ooh imagine what it could be like in the peak of winter! yuk. might try some of those shinguards on whilst trying out some top winter jackets.... £!

Hi everyone,

Is anyone out on Satruday? Don't mind where maybe Hayfield??
Show/hide user stats
Anyone know some routes around Wharncliffe? I'm really interested in riding there, but don't particularly fancy the full on downhill bit, and I know they have constructed a km of red route, but I reckon there must be plenty of other trails ... maybe I should just go along and have a poke around....
Show/hide user stats

i've never ridden there even though its only about 10 mins from home!

i have heard that its very very muddy in winter though and only really a spring /summer/autumn venue unless you like pushing and sliding in mud

im hoping to go with a local (she lives in wharncliffe villiage) when it drys out. looks ace on the vids

I need to try Wharnecliff again - it was my first attempt at biking so I was very unfit and I had road tyres on! (my old bike) I think it was probably rather more exciting than it should have been. It looked pretty good though.

It's one of my friends local 'fix' so he just pops there to kill time and knows it like the back of his hand - I am going to have to swear him in for another guided tour now I am fitter and have a more appropriate bike.
