Thurs. is fine Ros, only really bad rain will stop me.
I may be bringing someone called Paul with me, a friend of NBTs. I have never ridden with him. They have just had a baby, so he's a little out of practice.

K8to I will let you know about the following Wednesday. What time were you thinking of and where?

Mrs MBT - plan for thursday sounds fine. Heavy rain will stop me too - don't worry! Also fine to bring Paul - the more the merrier.

I probably won't be able to ride next week as my bike will probably be in bits getting ready to go out to Spain on Saturday.

If it is raining Ros, I will give it a miss. We are away this weekend and things won't fry in time.
Otherwise see you tomorrow. Oh and a girl called Helen was asking to go out riding with us, she posted on the southmanchestermassive site.

Helen says she can't get her lights charged in time. I haven't met her. But NBT has ridden with her in the group a few times.
Have sent Paul a mail to say - meet at your house 6.00p.m. unless it's raining.
My friend Nicola has just been round to show me her stitches.Yuk!

Just back from a week of mad biking in Spain - if you think we have rocks in the Peak District then think again! I had a week of constant rocks, drop offs and switchbacks. Very interesting!

When are you planning on riding this week Mrs NBT, K8to?? Weds or Thurs? I am keen to come out. Just ordered a helmet light so hopefully that will arrive in time.

I had a great time - we went to the Sierra Nevada (a small place called Bubion not far from Granada).

What has happened to your bike?

I am keen to go out this week - K8to - are you around and available at all?

May have to go out on my own - or with the guys I suppose - not sure what is more scary!!

Rear shock need a service and I'm having a new rear cassett. Tried to ride Sunday and ended up walking all the hills, cos the gears were just slipping, so had to cut the ride short.
Hope to get it back for Saturday.

I did tonnes of rocks and switchbacks on my holiday - I haven't mastered either but improved at both. They did teach us quite a bit which was great for me - weight back on steep bits, switching feet around when doing switchbacks etc.

Are you around at the weekend and planning to ride at all? I think the friends that we were supposed to have coming up may not be here so I may be around for a ride.

Sian has posted a ride up in the white peak (in the chat section, as Myfanwy 126) around Darley dale to Chatsworth , this Sat. I would love to go as it's an all girlie ride, will probably be looking after Finley though.
We will be doing a ride over the weekend at some point. I really do need to get out. This is presuming the bike will be ready!

I did my first( and only) mtb holiday during my first year as a biker and learnt loads too.
Can't do switch backs though. Ha Ha.

NBT has just come in and said we may not be riding this weekend (together) so I will be able to go on Sians ride. I'll look after Finley on Sunday instead. Do you fancy it? I can pick you up on route, got to find out a time and where we meet.
All this depends on getting my bike back. If not I will ride Sunday and we can join our gang (not as mad as your lot). Or even go out to Penmachno, North Wales. What so you think?

I don't think I will have enough time to go on the ride on Sat as I have got a hair appointment on Sat am and then have a friend coming over later on Sat pm. If I do anything on Sat then it will probably just be a couple of hours from home at about 12.

Sunday may be different though - I could well be up for coming out. It will depend on whether these friends come up or not. Will let you know in the next couple of days.

Hi Jane - I don't think I will be able to come out with you this weekend as our friends are coming up so we will probably be climbing with them. It is a shame as I really want to get out - I won't be able to come out next Thursday either as I am on call out duty and need to be with my car and phone.

hi this is gabrielle from 'seeking women in the peak'. I'm going out in North Yorkshire this Sat, but would love to know if anyone doing a Peak route weekend after. have you all got expensive lights then to be going out during the week?!
