We do ride in the Peak District and I live about a mile from Rivington Pike so unfortunately a big climb up everytime I leave my house.

Ros, was trying to find out what the boys were up to on the bank holiday weekend. Jon suggested slowing one of the boys down with a bike trailer and filling it with lovely picnic type food. Not sure if it's a definite yet but I'll definitely be down the BH weekend, and will be really up for a ride by then. So I'll keep you posted. Still shattered after the weekend, but was well worth it :-)

Great to hear from you - shame you can't make this weekend. I live over in the west of the Peak District but quite often come over to Hope or Hathersage so could meet you there sometime. My weekends are so busy at the moment but am sure we can arrange a ride in Sept/ Oct.

Sods law that is, I've been round the roman lakes with some newbies the last two wednesdays running....don't stay in the pub too long like we did last week and end up doing a night ride with no lights :-)

reet, I'm down on Friday nite. It appears that Jon, Gavin and Rob have been talking about a ride in the white peak on saturday with one of them towing the trailer -bob thing, then on sunday possibly do something in the dark peak. How's that sound?

Julie - Sounds good to me - does that mean we are all going along together? We will just have to slow the boys down. What about Jen - is she coming out for a ride?

Ros - yeah looks that way. Think the idea is to give the bob to the fastest guy to slow him down for all of us :-) I think the idea is to just take it easy anyway and have a nice ride - hence the bob and picnic idea. Jon's still feeling SITS a little and I'm sure that Gavin is pretty knackered from the Transwales. So I would hope that that would slow those two a little. Either way I'll be happy to be out on my mountain bike again. Not ridden it since SITS, just been riding the Road Rat to work and back.

oh, not sure if Jen is coming, and I think Shona may well be working.
