yep great route - rushup edge my favourite bit!

why is it that whenever I have an accident, it's always about half a mile from the end of the route!?

yes - still hobbling. plenty of cocodomol helps though.

and i've bent my seat :(

daz went to wharncliffe - said it was really really tough!

Prob the best place to have an accident - a mile from the end. At least we could back to Hayfield easily along the road.

Nightmare about your seat - I didn't think you had damaged your bike at all.

Oh well you will just have to buy a pair of SPDs and get used to riding with them. Once you are used to them they are great - you have so much more control.

Gavin is still keen on trying Wharncliffe sometime so maybe next time Darren heads over there he could let Gavin know.

I had a great time. Rushup edge was so much fun. I will have to go back and do the route again see if I can get down Jacob's Ladder without stopping.

Same here Trio - I was disappointed that I messed up the corner on Jacobs Ladder. Oh well.

Mrs NBT - are you out this week? Thursday? I have almost got over my cold now so am keen to come out and test my new forks out.

Sounds like I missed out on another great ride - again!

I'll keep looking to see if I can ever make one.

It was a great ride, with a nice walk thrown in :) I will try Jacob's Ladder without stopping.

So when is the next ride?

Ros you will have to let me know if you fancy a night ride round rivington sometime, I'm hoping my lights arrive tomorrow.

Shame you couldn't make this one Bike Scooby - it was a 4 hour Peak District special!

Next girls ride 7th Jan from Holmfirth.

We are probably organising a mixed ride on New Years Day if anyone is interested. Not too early a start!

Treehugger are you o.k? What happened?

Ros, I'm hoping to be out Thursday night, probably from our house, maybe about 6.30-7.00ish. Will you be able to come over?
feel like I need to get some riding in.
Bad weather will stop me though.

Just a few more days girls and it starts getting lighter. Yippee.

Hi Mrs NBT - i am keen to come out on Thurs but I still have a bad cough which i can't get rid of. I don't think that the ride on Sat helped but never mind. I will wait and see how I am on Thurs and will confirm by text. Hopefully see you then. Coming over to your place will be fine if i do come out.

Get better soon Ros.
If you can make it, the riding here is easier than we normally do.
Sounds like you had a great time Saturday.

had a great day indeed - hailstorms, rain, wind, even a bit of cold sunshine, walking, riding, and in my case...somersaulting as well. will fill you in when i see you but still unable to walk properly today. I'm going into the shop to take stumpy in 4 its 6 week service and i'm getting the full body armour kit while i'm there!!

did you have a good weekend away, Mrs NBT?
Show/hide user stats
Full body armour, sounds like a good idea.

I loved the ride, really challenging and great fun. Hopefully we can go riding again soon.

Ouch, hope you're ok TH.

Hi Ros
just to let you know that I'm down at Jon's from tomorrow night till Jan 2nd, so let me know if you're out between xmas and new year be great to catch up and also to ride with other women for a change. I'm not so fit at the mo as I'm finding it difficult to fit in training around work and the dark nights, although my technical ability is better, so not all bad :-)

Anyone out this Sat for a shortish ride. I'm not fully fit from accident but need to get out and do something. Anyone fancy meeting at Fox House or Calver perhaps?

Julie - good to hear from you. I am sure we will be out at some point. Definitely planning a New Years Day ride - to include the boys as well (I'll post details on this thread). Apart from that I am not sure as we have my family up here for a few days from this friday and am not sure if we can disappear and leave them. May have to play it by ear. Ambrose's sister is organising a girls ride on Sun 7th Jan from Holmfirth - details on another thread - so if you are around for that then come along.

Treehugger - would love to come out on Sat but prob not able to as I have all my family staying with us for a few days.

By the way Treehugger - how are you? Have you recovered yet?
Show/hide user stats
been out on the road today about 14 miles - not too bad. A bit painful over bumps lol nut getting there thankfully.

looks like a shortish route from hope this Sat with GOldfiah and Alan.

I went out today and came off my bike and cut my knee up. I was only 5 mins from home so ended up just going home and patching myself up. I will have to try again tomorrow or Sat!

oh no bad luck. hope its not too bad. hope to meet up soon.
