 They are not really based in Bracknell Forest, but you could have a look at bikebabes, based out of the trailjunkies shop... they also organise rides at other locations around the area including swinley forest. Their rides are either for beginners or for riders with more experience so you can pick whatever level you want. There are a few other groups as well but I don't know of any that are specifically women only, you could try berks on bikes or tunnel hill trolls - I haven't ridden with either of these myself but have met other ladies who do

Hi there Becky, I also live in the Crowthorne area. I'd be interested if you do find any women's cycling groups. Do you do much riding? my other half introduced me to mountain biking last November and I've since had a couple of mountain biking holidays in Dartmoor and the Brecon Beacons which were fun. Pixie

Hello  Thanks for the info Brozza, I'm looking at going on an intro ride with BOB, but I'm a little scared they'll go too quickly for me! My boyfriend rides with them, and he is forever leaving me behind!! I've been on a ride with bikebabes, but they are over an hour away from where I live, so unfortunately not really very convenient  Pixie - I was introduced to mountain biking at the start of this year, and have been on many beginner courses, and I try to get myself out riding in the woods - either with my boyfriend, or on my own - a few times a week, as well as riding into work as often as I can. My fitness isn't great at the moment (I have real trouble regulating my energy levels when I ride), but I desperately want to get better, hence looking for other women to ride with.... I'll keep you posted if I find any groups! Cheers, Becky

Hi again Becky, Just wondered if the BOB ride you were thinking of going along to was the one on this saturday (3rd August). My boyfriend is planning on going as he wants to join a club again (he used to do it years ago) and he has tried pestering me to go too although like you I'm a bit worried I would hold everyone up! Anyway, I think they have said that they do welcome beginners so just thought I'd let you know in case you're still planning on going...!

Hello again, Yes, I'm going this Saturday! Very scared, but my boyfriend tells me I'll be fine  Apparently there are 22 people going on the intro ride this month, so fingers crossed I won't be the slowest there.... Maybe see you on Saturday! Becky

Yes I will be there, Becky. I will be the one looking rather scared and tired!! I think we're planning on heading to the Lookout early so we don't miss everyone. Anyway I'll be the one in a green jersey and white/green helmet standing next to the bloke that looks like a tree (he's rather tall!) See you tomorrow!

I would be up for some girlie riding in Swinley if people advertise it here. I live in Bicester so it's about 1 hours drive away but would be great to have girls to ride with, don'tmind riding with my bloke but would be nice to have someone else for a change

Cool! I am always up for a ride, so if we could get a small group of us together to go, that would be fantastic! Not that I don't love my boyfriend to bits, but riding with other women always feels a lot less pressured!!

sorry for the late reply on the forum (you may need to join it first) in the menu there is a weekly evening rides in there each week the monday tootle is put on there, also in the LWL menu there that is the ladies menu too...

Munge chick I live near hemel 45 mins and ride the chilterns pretty much all the time in winter...if you fancy a nice easy 15 miles let me know ( only 1 hill ) Ruthie

 Not been on the BB for a while but I live in Crowthorne too and ride with BOB.. just got back from a particularly wet thursday club ride now actually.. not all the rides are fast some are slower paced but we are very definately an "enthusiasts" club.. having said that on my first ride with them i fell of 12 times as it was my first time in clips... I ride in swinley a couple of times a week and sometimes jump in the van down the Dorking to do the North Downs so PM me if you are in the area and I will send you my mobile number & text me if you are ever up for a ride.. I can go out in afternoons during the week too as work is pretty flexible...
