 castlerigg, why cant individuals call up and book for themselves that way the campsite wont know you are a group?

 i'll check with the bloke which campsites - weve camped around there loads, so im suyre he'll know somewhere.... i don't know how im getting there, on the sat yet, but im still wanting to go.

 Im still up for the weekend, will prob drive up early on sat morning and camp with the group sat night. The Italin meal out on sat night sounds good,

I have contacted all that you have posted Pootle and the one in Braithwaite, no reply from Braithwaite yet bit the rest are all full (assume Castle Rigg isn't but I don't want to book that just for me and find I'm the only one there - want to be around familiar faces!). We need to get a move on though or we won't get in anywhere

Not a bean  Right then who is still up for trying to get accom for this weekend? I really think we are going to struggle now but if I have an idea of numbers I can make one last valiant effort to get pitches somewhere!

I'm still up for Sat night camping. I'm just mega mega busy at mo to sort out...... Miss G did you check out that link, cos there were several campsites on it. Failing that I think you should book 2 pitches(2 people) at the one that doesn't let gangs in..and someone else should do the same... then we'll all be there  soz

The barn would be good but they only had spaces for the Fri night, not the Sat. I've got a list from Mrs D's link and I'll give em a buzz at lunchtime (gotta do it secretly as I wasn't able to get the Fri off....I think I feel an illness coming on though that my just coincide....  )

Right - I have found a place with availability for both nights, it is Lanefoot Farm ( http://www.stayinthornthwaite.co.uk/) which is just by Whinlatter Forest Park. I have reserved 4 pitches for both nights as I wasn't sure who was coming when so can everyone let me know what nights they need and I will ring them back to confirm.
