 im still up for this weekend. sat & sun.
camping - don't mind which site; whatevers cheapest! skiddaw ride is nice and borrowdale bash is good too.

I don't mind doing that, mine's only a one man (or girl!) one though so I would need to be a sharee (rather than a sharer!)

C&C club sites are usually ok for non-members, I've stayed at other ones before without a problem. I could bring the bigger tent if people would rather share and save money - don't mind either way. The big tent is a 3 man tunnel with a nice sized porch and will be getting its virgin outing in Yellowstone for the next two weeks  . Otherwise I'll just bring the little tent. I haven't booked a pitch yet so I'm easy on locations etc and will sort it out post holiday....

Have emailed herdwick croft and will ring castle rigg later - says no camping reservations taken - not sure if that means just over the internet or at all so will ring and find out. Will try to get 4 pitches (me, Ads, MrsD, Lou P) we can always amend that if we decide to tent share or people drop out etc. Keep you posted

Right Castle Rigg Farm don't allow groups on site as there is a 'potential for noise' apparently though I am sure that would not relate us at all....waiting to hear from the other one

Well they have said they only allow couples on their own or families, no groups nor couples to 'group together' - bit antisocial that... Will ring Herdwick later if they have not replied
