No they won't leave you behind Carolyn. As I said, there was a back man. Imo. I think you and Trio will be somewhere in the middle of the group.  In fact when we went a few Saturdays ago, there was myself, another girl and 10 guys. We all rode together at about the same pace, I was still at the back though! ( with the back man). I would go again, but can't make it this Thurs. But if I can persuade NBT. togive me a lift I'll join you.

Have just read a thread on 'singletrackworld' where they did leave some riders behind today. So make sure they look out for you on Thursday. But I think the normal 'back man' wasn't there today.

I've just entered too - as a mixed pair with my OH. If I had known you were up for the event Trio I may have asked you to do a pair with me. Oh well, I am sure you will enjoy it solo!!

Enjoy, that is one word! I won't be going all out as I'm riding an event the next day. hadn't realised you were looking for someone to ride it with Ros, but hey you can just send gavin out for a few hours and do the odd lap. You can keep ali compna as well, she's being my pit bunny! Oh and looking after another friend of ours so I think she will be busy!

 i quite fancy this - what's the course like (compared to mayhem!!!!  ) . i'd be up for a pair - or if there isn't anyone i could just enter and do as many laps as i can in 12 hours - prob about 4

I'll just be there for the day as I'm doing the Duahlon (do you not fancy that!!). So I'll hang around and watch others suffer for an hour or so if the weather is nice.

Ali m has no time for duathlon, she has two soloists to support!!! Vixsters team is camping and should have a good spot, with room for you Ali! There is another preview ride tomorrow night if anyone fancies it?

 Ive just signed myself up for some volunteering for this during the run up to the event to lay the track out etc cos most of this route has been my 'urban splash' winter nite ride for years. quite unbelievable when its all urban/industrial but i can eke out a 25-30k ride over about 3hrs, via bolton, bury and salford. tis pretty scary as a nite ride cos its pitch black and major shrubbery at either side of ribbon singletrack most of the way round. I went for a blast round it yesterday and thought there was a giant squirrel in the bushes - turned out to be a gardener at Phillips Park, LOL. nailed the 3ft+ drop off Ringley Road disused railiway platform on me spds n no armour. S.T.O.K.E.D.
