wish i was comin wi you guys - lucy's awesome - so much gluten free on the menu as well!! its not cheap but not as expensive as lucy's other restuarant. lucy 4's is the tapas place i think.

Show/hide user stats
no, not too pricey. Yeah, it's the tapas place. Should def be good...

Hmmm tempting, they do some cocktails too iirc.

Carolyn - how long do you think the ride will take roughly?  I'm trying to work out the logistics of doing the ride, then meeting my family at the house we're renting in langdale (I've got the key!), dropping my bike off and then getting back to Lucy4s.

Hmmm depends on the standard of the group really so a very wild guess. I'd say 3-4pm, there are options to go on road and cut it short. I would suggest you bring a map if you are likely to want to do that though.

come on Hetty, you know you want to.....

Carolyn - you and others coming to eat?

Show/hide user stats

No thanks, it would mean hanging around if it isn't too late we go to Wilfs at Staveley on the way home.

It all sounds great - and the 7pm booking at Lucy's means I'll get the chance to see my home team get trashed in the 6 Nations All I'll need is to find a pub full of Welshmen

Was Memory map mentioned for the route? I've got tracklogs, could one of you send me the planned route please so I can transfer? caroline@chauvin.co.uk I never go anywhere without a map... Cheers

Show/hide user stats
Yep. I've got Memory Map but it isn't comapatable with tracklogs. Do you want a screen shot though?
Show/hide user stats
That'd be great Carolyn, I'll just transfer manually - which means I should have at least half a clue where we heading! Ta
Show/hide user stats

Righto will send it.

I would suggest that on the Sunday you do the North Face Trail at Grizedale with a little loop added. So if you like I'll send the loop it's only about 4 miles but it's worth adding on.

Sounds good, nothing quite like a bit of insider's knowledge from someone who's been there before as far as I'm concerned! And 10 miles isn't very long so an extra section makes sense. I'm just hoping that today's high winds haven't wrecked the place...

Thank you!

I'll send you a longer  route in Grizedale also then, the only thing with that is you know what forrests are like it all looks the same !

Rigth sent them
Show/hide user stats
Ah no they're not they have been returned no such e-mail address.
Show/hide user stats
I personally don't like the North Face trail - sorry   I do know some other Grizedale routes though, and they're great!

I'd agree the NFT ain't the best ever. It is just if you have no idea it's easy to follow. County Road and Lawson Parks are two bits not to be missed.

I'm gonna attempt my mem map and stuff......or maybe I'll just go to bed actually. Yeah.
Show/hide user stats
Carolyn - do you have a lunch stop planned, or should we bring sandwiches and stuff??
Show/hide user stats

No lunch stop planned, never is on my rides !! Be self-sufficent.

I'll send a message to your 'in box' with my mobile if you want to do likewise. I should be on the car park opp Hayes 9.30am-ish. Carp Park is 30 secs from the Backpackers
