Am driving out after work, probably best to bring a back up light as am sure you'll need more than an hour less you head back early... mind you forecast pretty shite so maybe we'll all head back early... depends on misery:fun ratio

3 of us made it out on thursday... with one decent set of lights between us... made for interesting riding at times! Rather windy too!!

Looks like we'll be out wednesday night this week. At 6pm ish probably but will confirm.. Probably ride from Crookes this week... but again will confirm nearer the time.. 

 Am moving at the end of the month.. S11 no less... gonna need a whole new set of friends up there... not sure what the neighbours are going to make of our van parked outside... thought i'd get some chickens out back too... but anyway i digress... it probably means that from December Hunters bar is gonna be the meeting point as its more central for everyone..

hope you two make it this week! and anyone else that fancies it...

 Not sure about this Christmas ride as there is a trailquest on the 16th and can't do both.. its fantastic that there is so many going... so may well end up going for the sociable option and ride out to meet you all but not committing yet..!! and in which case may well have the lads tagging along too..

Ooh, I might well do the Sunday thing. Hayfield is just a bit too far for me, so I've been agonising about it, but Ladybower is just right!  how long are you planning on being out?

Working tonight and full of some horrid lurgy AGAIN (started sneezing Tues pm Ruth!!) so going to have to be sensible and try and get well before I do any more rides. Have even driven to work this week.

We'll try and get parked on the bridge on sunday.. should be ok at that time... so far there is four of us on sunday... prob be out 3 or 4 hours but remain flexible... likely cake n tea stop at some point.... and riding out there means its possible to bail pretty easy if it looks like being too long so come along! Couple of boys on bouncy bikes coming but don't let them put u off!!

Trip into Wharncliffe planned fro this friday... meeting Oughtibridge at half five ... sixish not sure yet... any takers?

I've had that virus, so that's why I didn't make the ride on Sunday! All better now though...

Just ordered some more windstopper trousers and waterproof socks...  man..did I need em last friday.. and those seal skin winter gloves were fantastic.. think i was the only one who could feel their fingers at the end..

Hi Ruth. Thanks for Friday I did enjoy it despite the weather! Beats sitting in front of a tv, or even worse, at a desk....   I think I managed to sort my granny ring out by the end, but not sure my front brake's right - thinking I've got an air prob cos the pads were tightly back together again by the time I got home with the front wheel off.  My fab Adli specs caused me some probs too - was wondering why only one lens was steamed up and the other one was perfectly clear - until I got splatted with mud through the clear one! ha. 

Your sat ride should have been much more pleasant I guess - sun was shining and everything!  I'll let you know if I'm coming on Friday. At least I know where it is now.

Ruth - this is called grasping at straws....    I've just realised I haven't seen my gloves since the ride and think I prob left them on the wall where I was parked!!  Well, I know you were due to go back there the next day, so I don't suppose you saw them??? 

I think I might head over to Llandegla on Sat, so won't be out this Fri, but if you could just have a peep for me........I don't suppose there's any chance they're still there after a week though!   (unless of course they're still in my boot!) 

Will have a look friday but i wouldn't hold your breath!!

Didn't make it to Wharncliffe Saturday due to Dave's wheel/rotor problems... ended up back at mine on the borrow and then short trip over Dore..  Hope you enjoy wales! And to see again..

This coming Friday 25th... plan is 5pm at Hunters Bar... ride til the lights go...

Last friday VERY WET! No gloves... sorry Mrs D... have it on good authority (Peaty) that the woods are as bad/wet as they've ever been... didn't stop us have a fab time thou... went back in for more on Saturday and found some more singletrack stuff in Greno woods too...
