hi - just joined in - i have emailed you cj about my bike.

I think the colour is bronze and blue - but I'm not interested colours much. My old bike is bright yellow.

Difficult for me to comment on the brain as I have never had a full suss bike before so dont really know. I can feel a bit of drag sometimes if you get an uneven surface on a road.

Its a good sturdy bike, gives me a bit of gravity and has plenty of travel. I think I'd be all over the place on a lighter bike.

It has really helped my confidence especially downhill.

I'm sorry I dont have a huge amount of experience as i'm fairly new to mtb. hope this helps

Hi Treehugger - thanks so much for e-mailing me with the info. How funny, my bike now is bright yellow too (04 stumpy). Hope to meet you on the trails soon.

Bikescooby - looks like I will be needing to buy some new tops :-) What a shame lol!

Just realised, if I do get this bike, the colours are exactly the same as my Shecycles top. How freaky is that ?

I've been told by a couple of people to avoid the Talas forks if you're light. They have more seals than the Float forks and so are "sticky" for lighter riders.

Hi Madfish. Cheers for the info, Unfortunately I don't fall into the 'light' category, lol! Worth knowing though ta...

interesting - cuz i do fit into the light category. I dont have enough experience to comment on this though - as my previous bike only has about inch and a half of travel anyway. I have a lot of confidence from the big talas forks though.

I'm surprised to hear about the sticky talas forks too - but i'm no expert so i won't disagree with you. Surely it's just down to putting the right amount of air in the fork for your weight?
